Cookie Policy
Effective 14 October 2026. Last updated 13 October 2026. This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used on Sely.
01
Cookies and browser storage in use
This list describes the main first-party storage used by Sely. Particular account, verification or visitor-access workflows may also use scoped, short-lived security or access cookies. A cookie lifetime is not the retention period for the associated server-side record.
- sely_session — essential account session cookie, configured for up to 30 days; logout, expiry or revocation can end access earlier.
- sely_guest — essential guest-usage cookie, configured for up to one year.
- sely_device — essential device-recognition cookie used by account-security features, configured for up to one year.
- sely_analytics_consent — local storage remembering this browser's optional analytics choice until changed or cleared.
- sely_utm_history_v1 and sely_utm_presets_v1 — browser-local UTM history and presets; clearing site data removes these local copies.
- _ga and _ga_* — optional Google Analytics cookies, used only after analytics consent. Google's default expiry is two years and can refresh on later visits; browser settings and provider configuration may shorten that period.
02
Essential storage
Sely uses essential cookies or local browser storage for secure sign-in, session continuity, guest-link limits, CSRF protection, consent state and core preferences. Disabling these may prevent account or creation features from working.
03
Optional analytics
Sely uses optional Google Analytics to understand page usage and product journeys after you allow analytics in the consent controls. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization are disabled in Sely’s consent configuration. Optional Google Analytics is separate from service analytics generated when a Sely link redirects or a dynamic QR code is scanned.
04
Third parties
Payment, email, hosting and analytics providers may set or receive identifiers when their services are used. Their processing is governed by their own policies as well as our contracts and applicable law.
05
Your choices
Use Sely’s analytics preferences to accept or reject optional analytics. Your choice is stored in this browser’s local storage until you change it or clear browser data. You can also remove cookies through browser settings, but deleting essential session cookies signs you out and may reset guest or consent state.
06
Updates and contact
Cookie use can change as the service evolves. We will update the date above when this policy changes. Questions may be sent to account@sely.co.
07
Sely is not using optional analytics to personalise ads
The optional analytics configuration described here is intended to understand Sely website usage and product journeys. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are disabled in Sely's consent configuration.
08
Changing your decision
Your analytics preference applies to the browser in which you set it. You can reopen Analytics preferences at any time. Clearing browser data can remove the saved decision and cause the choice to be requested again.
09
Service analytics are different
Optional website analytics are separate from the link and dynamic-QR event data generated to provide analytics to a Sely account owner. Disabling optional website analytics does not disable the operational measurement inherent in a Sely redirect or tracked QR route.
